Opposites Attract!

Hello, Friends! It's Kathy here, and I'm very excited to be hosting my very first challenge on the Frilly and Funkie Blog! The theme for this challenge is 'Opposites Attract!', and I hope you will have as much fun with it as we did.

For this challenge, the Frilly side of the team was asked to create a project in Funkie Style, and next week, the Funkie side of the team will create a Frilly style project. To play along, we're asking you to dig deep and create any kind of project you choose, as long as it is not done in your usual style and color palette.

The winner will earn the chance of a Guest DT spot here at Frilly and Funkie, and everyone who enters and follows the rules will go into the draw for the chance to win a $25 spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. And there are Top 3 Badges for three further outstanding entries, chosen by the Design Team, because choosing just one winner is so hard!

The guidelines for entering are simple: create a new vintage or shabby chic project following the challenge theme, link it below to your post (not just your blog) and also include a link back to this challenge in your post. For this challenge, we'd also love to hear how you did something OPPOSITE of your normal style (and we'll be taking a peek at your regular projects to see your normal style).

You can combine our challenge with up to 10 challenges (including this one) to be in with a chance of winning. If you are entering through a public forum please use keyword F&F. Also, please be sure to turn off your Word Verification so our Design Team can leave comments on your blogs.

Here are the amazing projects from the Frilly side of the Design Team to inspire you and get you started (click on each image for a closer look);

Suzanne Czosek - Suzz's Stamping Spot

Jenny Marples - Pushing The Right Buttons

Zoe Hillman - iGirlZoe

Kathy Clement: Kathy by Design

Cec Wintonyk - CW Card Creations

Pamellia Johnson - My Little Craft Things

Nancy Dynes - Tattered Treasures

I really enjoyed working in a style that was opposite my normal style, and it's clear the other Frilly gals did as well.  I'm sure you've seen something here that will spark your imagination, and get you thinking in the OPPOSITE direction.  We can't wait to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,
Kathy

  2. Interesting challenge and fabulous inspirations! I like to create CAS cards and fussy and fancy cards and projects. I will have to try to create distress style card or project and my brain is whirring with ideas - thank you for that as I am now inspired so just have to create Karen x
